Vice Chair – Darren Carter CPP, MSyI F.ISRM
Darren has been employed within the security industry for 24 years, 21 of which within the luxury hotel sector. Prior to this he served for 8 years in the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy, operating across Europe, North Africa and South America.
Darren has in-depth experience of managing security risk within major hotel groups including Forte Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels Group and now as Director of Group Security Safety & Sustainability for Edwardian Hotels London, a private owner and operator of 13 luxury hotels and several restaurant brands.
Chapter Secretary – Joseph Hana PSP MSyI PFSO
Joe is a multilingual security professional with associated industry qualifications and an experienced security strategy developer within the corporate sector (Oil & Gas, Technology, Tier one Banking and Pharmaceuticals), regulated industry and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).
He has produced vulnerability and risk assessments, developed mitigation measures and produced reports for internal security management and incident management. Effective at engaging and collaborating with the wider security stakeholders and business functions including but not limited to operations staff, Health & Safety, Legal Counsel, Human Resources, Privacy Compliance and Ethics, Public Affairs, Audit, Facilities Management, IT and Cyber Teams.
Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion – Arevika Stepanian
Arevika is Head of Marketing & Communications at STM Group (UK) Ltd
Having lived in 6 countries and speaking 5 languages, Arevika brings a diverse background and creative approach to everything she does.

Richard Stevens MSc CSyP
Richard is Deputy Leader Global Security at PwC. He is recognised security risk management leader and Chartered Security Professional, named on the 2018 IFSEC Global Security Influencers list,. He has a 19 year background of providing Governance, Risk and Compliance security programmes for global blue-chip organisations and international military operations.
An excellent communicator, and sought after public speaker, with the ability to understand the technical details and communicate the complexity in an easily digestible format to senior stakeholders. A comprehensive suite of leadership skills, with a rare blend of Corporate and Information Security experience, complimented by an MSc (with Merit) in Security Management.
